Building & Construction

The services of OzHelp have had a direct contribution to the ongoing development of the construction industry as a productive and vibrant sector in the Tasmanian community. Through its training and support services OzHelp has not only acted to prevent the tragedy of suicide in the community, it also directly improves such things as OH&S, apprentice retention in the industry and general productivity in the workplace.

Whilst man hours are lost for training, the training provides all workers with the tools and support mechanisms to cope with everyday life which will in turn produce a more resilient and productive apprentice / young worker who has greater focus. The objective is to develop resilience and wellbeing to enable participants to take more effective control of their lives.

Training is based on the agreements between employers and OzHelp Tasmania to set up and deliver training to its workers and apprentices / trainees at a time suitable to all parties.

In contrast support services are available by contacting OzHelp at any time.
